Keep reading and find out how you can make an easy passive income by starting affiliate marketing with no up-front investments. From affiliate marketing basics to making money online. We’ll cover it all.

The original formula for affiliate marketing is Sign Up – Share – Earn. That’s practically affiliate marketing for dummies, right? However, while it sounds simple, it might be a little confusing initially.

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning commission from recommending a product or service offered by another business. As a business model, it’s highly profitable because the business pays you for every referred sale.

Not all affiliate programs are the same. Some pay different percentages of commission, others offer a fixed bonus, and some will offer free products or services in return. With time and hard work, successful affiliate marketing can turn your side hustle into a profitable business venture.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work

Let’s look at how affiliate marketing works so you can earn more money within the top affiliate networks by promoting quality content and product links.

Sign Up for an Affiliate Program

Affiliate marketing programs are referral campaigns where a company or brand partners with affiliate marketers like influencers, YouTubers, bloggers, and others who promise to refer to their products within their audiences. Every successful referral that leads to sales gets paid a commission.

Signing up usually includes filling out a form and arranging all the necessary details for a direct and transparent partnership, referrals, payments, and other affiliate marketing efforts from both sides.

Share an Affiliate Link

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be issued a specific affiliate link to put on your social networking platform for potential customers to click. Affiliate offers customers information on the affiliate products or services included in the affiliate program.

From blog posts and YouTube videos to posts on other prominent social media platforms, affiliates share their affiliate links and create content on the products to boost traffic and prompt sales, thus earning themselves commission.

Someone Clicks and Makes a Sale

Promote products, create quality content ideas, and send your followers, readers, and customers directly to the store page via your affiliate link. Encourage them to spend money on the products and earn a commission every time someone makes a purchase.

Earn Commission from Each Sale

Each affiliate program has its own rules, guidelines, and commissions. When signing up for one, you’ll be notified of the percentage you’ll earn with each sale. If your informative content leads to a sale, the brand will pay you a certain percentage for each order.

It really is that simple to become a top affiliate marketer. Sign up, share a link with high-quality content, and cash in by making affiliate sales.
Why is affiliate marketing a good business model?

At this point, you might be thinking, “A business built on recommendations? Sounds too good to be true.” While it’s good to have a healthy dose of skepticism, according to PayScale, the average affiliate marketer in the US makes around $52,000 a year.

Not bad for recommending products, right? It’s possible to make a living from affiliate marketing because it’s a profitable business model. Here’s why:It’s low risk. Businesses only need to pay out when you make a successful referral (versus paying a fee for influencers). For affiliates, your costs can stay low (if there are any at all), so you only lose time if you don’t hit the right mark.

It’s a win-win for everyone. The business benefits from the sales you bring in, and then rewards you in return. However, customers also benefit from having a trusted recommendation to satisfy their needs/wants.You can work from anywhere in the world. If you’ve ever dreamed of living the digital nomad life, affiliate marketing can help you call anywhere your workplace. Though be sure to obey any work-related tax or labor laws. You can build a passive income. Creating a library of quality content takes time. But after a while, you’ll find that content you’ve already created still generates affiliate commissions months, even years, later.

“Affiliate marketing, especially when you’re a beginner with no startup money, takes long-term thinking, first you need to focus on the fundamentals, like deciding on a niche and traffic source.”

There are many free platforms for creators to consider when starting out as affiliate marketers. “Instagram, TikTik, YouTube, blogging—you can create an account for free on these platforms and start creating content right away.” Affiliate networks offer new marketers free and easy access to thousands of reputable affiliate programs you can join right away.

How to Start Affiliate Marketing With No Money

Step 1: Select a Profitable Niche and Target Audience

Succeeding in affiliate marketing is all about picking the right niche to attract potential customers within your chosen audience. A niche is a specific segment within a larger market. Start promoting affiliate posts on a targeted niche blog or social media page and excel in affiliate marketing.

Creating a niche website or excelling in targeted content marketing gives you the credibility to promote the affiliate products on your social media platform. Become an expert on selected niche products rather than being all over the place and gain the trust of your audience.

How to Find a Niche
Research the Market. Research the market to see the most popular and profitable niche sites, segments, and markets. For example, currently, blogging, fitness, cooking, and finances are some of the most profitable niches.

Pinpoint Your Interests. What do you already excel in? What are your skills and knowledge? Are there some products or services you already know, use, and can recommend to others?

Research Competition. How much does the average affiliate marketer make? What are the most popular affiliate marketing programs? Which platform is the best to promote on? How do others start affiliate marketing without money?

Some of the most popular affiliate marketing niches include
  • Health. Personal care, nutrition, mental health, anti-aging.
  • Fitness. Yoga, gym, home gym, hiking, accessories.
  • Lifestyle. Education, minimalism, veganism, van life, eco-friendly.
  • Fashion and Beauty. Make-up or fashion tips, top beauty products, accessories.
  • Hobbies. Music, traveling, cooking, DIY, photography, art.
  • Technology. Web hosting, gaming, VPN, online security.
  • Home. Pets, interior design, home tips, kids, plants, and more.
2. Choose an affiliate program

Once you’ve decided on a niche, the next step is choosing what affiliate program(s) to join. It makes sense to choose a program or affiliate products that align with your niche.

For example, lots of YouTube channels promote Virtual Private Network (VPN) services so their audience can watch them anywhere in the world. A more specific example would be vegan fitness and lifestyle educator Derek Simnett, who is an affiliate for VIVO Life supplements.

The other option is to join an affiliate program marketplace or network where you can browse thousands of programs and sign up to them through the marketplace.

Affiliate networks, such as the following, offer thousands of merchants in various niches:
  • ShareASale
  • ClickBank
  • Awin
  • FlexOffers
  • Amazon Associates
  • CJ
  • Rakuten Advertising
While these are all reputable options, some things to consider when choosing an affiliate program include not just its reputation, but also its commission rate and earnings per click (EPC) rate. A program might have a low commission rate but a high EPC, which means it can still be a worthwhile program to join. There are two ways of finding suitable affiliate programs within your niche: direct and through marketplaces. If you’re already aware of brands in your niche that have affiliate marketing programs, you can approach them directly and sign up for them (affiliate programs are usually free to sign up for), as Derek did with VIVO Life.

Step 3: Create Content

The only thing that leads customers to your blog post, Youtube video, Instagram post, or website is top-quality and SEO-optimized content. Put your affiliate offer in a creative and convincing way in front of your audience and encourage them to make a sale by providing top-notch content.

How to Optimize Content
SEO. Search engine optimization is essential for succeeding in affiliate marketing. Whether making blog posts, engaging in Facebook groups, Instagram posts, or creating video content for YouTube videos or other platforms, SEO will help you raise traffic and awareness.

If you've just started affiliate marketing, do keyword research before promoting affiliate products on your site or account page. Add relevant keywords to your content to rank high on search engines and send customers directly to you.
Content-Type. Deciding what content to put out for your audience is just as crucial. This needs to comply with your target personas within your niche. Decide on the content type and structure to increase your chance of attracting more customers.

From email marketing to blog posts, videos on various platforms, Q&As, tips, tutorials, how-to guides, product reviews, and more. Engage with your audience and provide creative and useful content to generate clicks and conversions for your affiliate links.

Research. Do thorough research on all things related to affiliate marketing. From competitors and their content to current trends on social media, product categories, market niches, and more.

Browse the internet to see what is currently available, trending, and what your target audience is looking for in products and services. Do proper research and make informed decisions regarding your affiliate marketing strategy.
Confidence and Persistence. Post click-worthy content that convinces your audience of your expertise over the products you promote and encourages them to not only click on your affiliate link but also make a purchase.

Try the products yourself, promote what you know, love, and enjoy, and be persistent with your content output. Set a schedule, develop a content strategy and calendar, and keep your audience intrigued and up-to-date with the latest offers.

3. Decide on a traffic source

At this point, you’ll need to start thinking about your traffic source.

People often make the mistake of thinking you must become a blogger with a dedicated website (which costs money). Though it is helpful to have one later when you feel able to reinvest in your business and scale upward, it’s not essential.

You can start generating affiliate income using other (free) traffic sources, such as social media platforms, YouTube, and forum-based sites like Reddit and Quora. Let’s look at a few advantages and disadvantages of each channel:
FacebookPros: The largest social media platform around. You can reach a big audience. Cons: Less attractive to younger audiences. Bad organic reach.
InstagramPros: Highly visual, excellent for showcasing products and services. Strong emphasis on video content like Reels and Stories.Cons: Lower organic reach for feed posts.

YouTubePros: Great for search engine optimization. Global audience of over two billion people. Cons: A lot of competition in most niches. Videos need to be professional and high quality.

TikTokPros: Short video clips that don’t require a “professional” look and feel. More personal and authentic experiences. Trends start on TikTok. Cons: Links in descriptions are not clickable.

LinkedInPros: Excellent organic reach. Established platform for professionals.Cons: Predominantly for B2B audiences.

You might be thinking, “But I don’t have a social media following! How will I make money?” If you don’t have a following, now is your chance to start building one. That being said, you don’t need a huge following to make money—you just need to reach the right audience.

Lots of affiliate marketers make their income entirely through social media. A great example would be Papery Thoughts, a YouTube channel (among other social media accounts) that creates YouTube videos about journaling. The channel generates affiliate sales through links to products in the video description that the creator uses onscreen. Other ways of using social media include joining Facebook groups in your niche and answering questions, or stitching replies to relevant TikTok videos in your industry. The key to building an audience is participation, not just spamming people with affiliate offers.

Step 3: Create Content

The only thing that leads customers to your blog post, Youtube video, Instagram post, or website is top-quality and SEO-optimized content. Put your affiliate offer in a creative and convincing way in front of your audience and encourage them to make a sale by providing top-notch content.

Step 4: Drive Traffic

Choose a traffic source for your affiliate marketing content by picking one of many platforms for your promotions. You don’t always have to build a blog or a website that costs money.

How to start affiliate marketing with no money or up-front investments? Build a social media presence on sites and free platforms where your buyer personas can mostly be found and chime in on the organic traffic these platforms provide.

Facebook

Facebook is the largest social media platform worldwide, offering you a chance to shine in front of an audience of 2.9 billion users. However, keep in mind your buyer personas, as Facebook is getting less popular among young people and has a lower organic reach.

Instagram

Affiliate marketing on Instagram is for showcasing the affiliate products in all their glory using video content like stories and reels. Instagram is highly visual and popular among all age groups, but feed posts tend to have low organic reach – you may need to fight for attention.

LinkedIn

This platform is mainly created for professionals with an excellent organic reach, making it a great place for promoting your affiliate products. However, this platform is primarily aimed at a B2B-oriented audience.

TikTok

TikTok has become one of the most popular social media platforms, especially for younger audiences, with entertaining videos and click-worthy content that doesn’t require a professional touch. But links in the TikTok description are not clickable, lowering your chances of sending people over to the affiliate product page.

YouTube

YouTube is the perfect platform for showcasing tutorials, product reviews, and how-to guides professionally and creatively. This platform is excellent for SEO and reaches a large audience of 2.6 billion people. However, the competition is fierce, and your videos need to be high quality and top-notch to rise above it.

Reddit

Reddit is the go-to platform for product reviews and honest content. It’s the platform where people speak their minds and seek recommendations and advice. But Reddit is mainly for younger audiences, so remember your target personas.

Twitter

Twitter is a popular platform where you can show off your affiliate offers in a short and creative way. Catch the attention with click-worthy headlines and product intros, sending customers directly to the product page. But keep in mind the character limitations, leaving no space for long descriptions and introductions.

Blog Posts

Writing blog posts is one way to start affiliate marketing with no money. Whether your own or guest posts, blogs are a great way to display your affiliate products and engage with the customers.

Start Your Affiliate Marketing Path

You don’t need to invest large amounts of money to start your affiliate marketing journey. All it takes is some insight into your options, a little bit of research, and a dash of creativity to make your content unique, valuable, and click-worthy.

So start thinking about what niche you could start building, working up to a passive income, and work from anywhere you want (or just tinker with outside of your main income).
How to Use Content Marketing To Generate Traffic to Your Affiliate Links

How to Use Content Marketing To Generate Traffic to Your Affiliate Links

Another powerful tool in affiliate marketing is content marketing. Content marketing essentially means creating a website or blog, rising in prominence, and then using that in order to sell your product.

The great thing about content marketing is that it works so well in tandem with numerous other sales techniques. In particular, content marketing is highly compatible with having a landing page, and in fact, often the objective of content marketing will be to send people to your landing page.

Content marketing's broader objective though is to make you into a trusted expert in your niche. In the business, this is referred to as being a 'thought leader' or an 'authority'.

This way, when you then recommend a product, people will be more likely to listen to you and to buy the product you suggest. So how do you go about using content marketing?

How To Get Started With Content Marketing

To start with, you will need a blog and that will be where you will publishyour posts and let people know about your business. At the same time, you can then combine this with a strong social media presence, heavy branding, and maybe even a YouTube channel, such that your audience can get to know you.

Be successful at this is largely about posting regularly and offering real value to your readers. Don't try and sell right away but instead spend your time building up trust and respect in your niche. Every time you publish a blog post, you should ask yourself: Is this something you would read? Is it comprehensive, engaging, and unique enough to stand out from all the other posts in this niche? Does it make you look like you really know your stuff?

Spend time designing your logo and website and then work to ensure you are creating a consistent vision that will help you to establish yourself on the net. This might all sound like a lot of work and you might find the idea of becoming a thought leader to be nerve-wracking.

However, it is very much worth it. The main reason for this is that when you are an authority in your niche, you will not only be able to sell the one product – but really any product

that you subsequently want to. You'll have a direct route to market' letting you directly reach thousands of buyers and they will always be happy and willing to take your advice. This is the strategy that most affiliate marketers will use to become truly wealthy but it does take a little longer.

Note as well that if you're going to use this strategy, you do need to think carefully about the quality of the products you recommend. If you promote a very substandard product too forcefully you will lose the respect of your buyers and ultimately they'll; be less likely to consider your future recommendations.

Promoting Your Blog

Running a highly successful blog is essentially a license to print money but getting there is a long road. This is not a case of 'build it and they will come' – but rather something you need to work hard at if you're going to be successful. Even if you post the best quality content to your blog in the world on a regular basis, if no one knows it's there, then it's not going to provide you with many benefits.

So how do you get the word out?

- Social Media

One option is to use social media and social bookmarking sites. Over time, you can use social media synergy in order to build up a large following, and in the future, you'll be able to use that to instantly reach a huge selection of people.

In the short term though, to get those initial viewers it makes a lot of sense to use social bookmarking sites. These are sites like Reddit and like Digg where people share their favourite sites. The reason this is so effective is that it allows you to communicate to a captive audience, all of whom have a shared interest in your specific subject.

Thus, you can gain a massive amount of shares and reads almost immediately as long as the title of your blog post is enticing enough. Head to the Reddit fitness page (reddit.com/r/fitness) and post an article on 'How to Get Great Abs' and you'll get 'downvoted' to a bad extent. On the other hand though, if you post something that sounds more unique

and more interested 'New Study on the Best Training for Superhuman Strength' and you can potentially get thousands of views overnight.

If you've then incorporated your social media into your page, this can, in turn, help you to build a large amount of Twitter followers, Facebook 'likes', YouTube subscribers, etc.

- Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing is another form of the social media marketing that is incredibly effective when used correctly. Essentially, this type of marketing allows you to leapfrog the competition and get much more quickly to a point where you're reaching a much larger audience and influencing them all the more.

How does this work?

Simple: by taking advantage of the groundwork that other marketers have already done. Influencer marketing means finding someone in your niche who already has a lot of influence (an influencer) and then contacting them and requesting that they broadcast a message on your behalf.

You might pay them to do this, you might create content specifically designed for them to share, or you might agree to do each other the same favor and thereby share your existing audiences. This technique can be immensely powerful when used correctly.

- SEO

At the same time, you should also be using SEO to try and further your efforts in promoting yourself online. SEO stands for 'Search Engine Optimization' and it essentially means managing your content, your website, and your marketing in such a way that it will enhance your site's visibility on Google.

In the past, SEO was very simple and all it really entailed was creating lots of content with your 'keywords ' (the search terms) in it and generating as many links to your website as possible (with the keywords as your anchor text). Over time though, Google has evolved and has become much smarter.

A lot of internet marketers were using SEO to manipulate their position on Google and this resulted in Google having to update its algorithms. Now Google is sensitive to anything that looks like obvious SEO and instead the only way to climb the ranks of the search engine reliably is to update your site regularly with high-quality content and to use natural language.

At the same time, you still want to gather inbound links, but they should be a wide range of varied different links from different sources and that are written differently.

As such, content marketing and SEO are largely inseparable these days. Good content marketing and good SEO involve populating your site with lots of very high-quality posts. At the same time, if you do this well, it will encourage people to share your content and link to it of their own free will.

- Guest Posting

One more strategy that still works well for SEO – as long as you don't overdo it – is guest posting. Guest posting essentially means that you are writing a post for a blog other than your own and offering them to publish it free of charge. As a result, they get more content for their site and this helps them to provide their visitors with more value.

But of course you aren't just doing this out of the good of your heart, as in exchange you ask them to include a link back to your website along with some description about who you are (called an author box). This way, they get free content and you get a link from a well-known blog and an authority.

- E-Mail Marketing

E-Mail marketing can be used as a supplement to content marketing, as a separate endeavour or as a bit of both. Of course the whole idea behind e-mail marketing is to create a mailing list of people who have shared their email with you because they want to hear about your products, services and deals.

From there, you can then provide them with newsletters and value directly in their inboxes, or you can sell to them by promoting your best products and services as an affiliate. The links will work the exact same way directly through e-mails (and JVZoo is even optimized for this) and the process either way is a very personal and direct way to influence your audience.

The first step in e-mail marketing then is to build that audience. Interestingly, you can do this in the very same ways you might get sales for an affiliate product (and in that way it might appear to be somewhat a step removed from this more direct form of marketing).

For instance, a landing page can be geared up to generate e-mails and leads and this is when it's normally called a 'squeeze page'. Likewise, you can add sign-up forms, also called 'opt-in forms' right into your blog posts, on your home page or in your right hand column as a widget.

However you go about this, just make sure that your mailing list is prominent and that you're effectively communicating why it is that your audience should listen to you and enter their e-mail address. In other words: how are you offering value. You can also aid this process by incentivizing your audience to sign up. You can do this for instance by giving away a free e-book, or a free discount for your product.

Either way, this means that they get more value simply by providing their e-mail address which many people will view as a good deal!

- Setting Up An Autoresponder

In order to make your mailing list work, you need to be able to manage people subscribing and unsubscribing and you need to be able to verify emails, store them all, back them up and generally do a lot of management. This is where an 'autoresponder' comes in, which is essentially a tool designed specifically for this purpose.

Autoresonders are unfortunately not free and that means you need to pick which one you're going to use carefully. As with affiliate networks, there are three big choices that people tend to pick from when they select autoresponders and these are:

- MailChimp

- AWeber

- GetResponse

There are others but these three are the ones you will hear about most often and that generally have the most support in terms of WordPress plugins etc. Working out which of these options is the most cost effective isn't as simple as comparing a flat rate as the amount you pay will depend on how many subscribers you have.

- E-Mailing

Again, we're going to get into persuasive writing in a bit but just note that when using e-mail marketing to sell an affiliate product it pays to take a more gradual approach. In other words, don't make your first message something that's trying to sell a product. Instead, use a 'sequence' where you start by providing value and generating trust (to get them to open future e-mails), then move on to talking about your 'upcoming amazing deal' and then eventually provide the link.

The more you generate buzz and excitement around your product, the more likely you'll be to get sales.

7 Ways to Make Money Online Blogging on WordPress in 2023

7 Ways to Make Money Online Blogging on WordPress in 2023

WordPress is the world’s most popular site builder and content management system. Designed for publishing but used for sites ranging from small blogs to large corporations, this free and open source software allows anyone to establish an online presence – and make money. Depending on your goals and interests, you can create one, or many, different income streams with a little time and minimal expense with your WordPress skills and the tools of your self-hosted Word Press site.

How Can You Make Money With WordPress?

WordPress was created to help all kinds of users create a basic website, and from that core code it’s possible to design sites for many different purposes with the many theme options, plugins, and extensions that are available from WordPress itself and third-party developers around the world.

WordPress itself is free to download and install with the web hosting provider of your choice, so it’s possible to create a WordPress site or blog that can make money for the price of a domain name and a web hosting package, using only free WordPress themes and plugins. Depending on the nature of your site and your goals, you can also choose from a variety of premium themes and plugins, as well as other tools and services for setting up and monetizing specific kinds of WordPress sites, such as membership or eCommerce websites.

Your self-hosted WordPress site is your “home base” online, and you’re free to use it to develop a number of different avenues for earning money; but just as you would need to investigate local laws and regulations before setting up a physical business or service, it’s important to consider the legalities of online commerce, too.

For example, if you’re planning to sell products or conduct business that involves collecting personal information from users, it’s important to be sure that your site follows national and international regulations regarding collecting and using that information. You might also need to investigate issues like taxes, shipping charges or local laws pertaining to your physical place of business. If you’re freelancing, you might need to look into the legalities of writing contracts and negotiating with clients.

Your WordPress site can be used to earn income from the things you create like from a blog, the services you provide, or the space you offer to others. Your site can become a business in itself, or it can become another tool to support a business you already own. While it may be hard work at first, monetizing your website is a great way to earn an extra income or it can even turn into a full-time job. For example, a local small business might find that a website provides another tool for maintaining an existing customer base.

Whatever your goals might be, your WordPress site can open doors to a global marketplace of possibilities for making money with WordPress with these 7 tips.

1.) Sell Your WordPress Skills

Whether you’re a seasoned WordPress user with development skills or a relative newcomer to the platform, you can leverage your WordPress skills to earn money. Opportunities include:

Building WordPress themes and plugins

Designing WordPress sites

Teaching others how to set up a WordPress site

Setting up blogs or other kinds of sites for new users

Creating tutorials or “how to” articles and videos on WordPress

2.) Sell Products on Your WordPress Site

Your WordPress site can become an online storefront for selling just about any kind of physical or digital goods. Products ranging from e-books and digital images to T-shirts, apparel, and electronics can be marketed from your site using free eCommerce plugins, such as WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. Integrate with third-party print-on-demand and shipping services to fulfill orders for physical products, or connect your site with online marketplaces and shopping sites. Once you’ve built a strong WordPress website, you’ll be able to start selling and earn money in no time at all.

3.) Create a Freelance Business

The Internet is made for freelancing and creative entrepreneurship, and your WordPress site can help. Photographers, designers, freelance writers, and other creatives can set up portfolio sites, build professional profiles and offer a variety of goods and services with the tools of WordPress themes and plugins. Your WordPress site can showcase your services and rates and establish you as an authority in your niche. Free and premium plugins can provide tools for creating landing pages, email and newsletter campaigns, and building forums and social networks on your site.

4.) Become an Affiliate Marketer

You don’t have to offer your own goods and services to make money with WordPress. Affiliate marketing is a way of earning money by promoting other people’s products on your site. Whenever someone clicks on a link you provide in a post or page, or buys a product you recommend, you receive a commission from the sponsoring company. Affiliate networks provide extensive lists of companies with affiliate programs you can join, but to be approved, you’ll most likely have to provide a link to your site. How to Set Up Landing Pages to Promote Your Affiliate Links

At this point in the guide, I think you understand how affiliate marketing works, and at the same time you should also have some ideas on how to find your product and choose the right one. Take the time to do this part because that really makes the difference between success and failure. It doesn't matter whether you want to make money or not!

Now, however, you need to take the next step, which is to sell the product. You have your referral url and account with your Clickbank / JVZoo / Amazon seller, etc.

So how can you start making money? We shall see there are several different options and each has different advantages and is more or less suitable for different types of products. However, one of the most common and popular methods is to create a landing page and then use it as your main "tool" for increasing sales.

What is a landing page?

Landing pages are also known as sales pages or squeeze pages. Their role is important in providing you with a single point from which to convert your visitors into buyers, as opposed to an ecommerce store as it is not a "shop". Rather, it is a page of text or images that advertise a single product. In the meantime, the text will be completely “sell” geared with the sole aim of converting visitors and making the product sound great. This is interrupted by the "Buy Now" buttons that contain your referral link.

Over time, you will optimize and add to your landing page, and this will enable you to create something that is optimized for your sales opportunity. Ultimately, you have a single goal that is the best way to turn visitors into buyers. Then you can focus your marketing efforts on getting people to that landing page. The idea of using a landing page is to "sell" to your customers, or in other words to warm up your visitors so that by the time they come across the actual product being advertised they already know what to expect and also tend to having some specific tropes that set them apart from more general web design.

Design tropes of landing Page

Missing chrome

For example, a landing page generally does not contain any other 'chrome'. Chrome refers to things like frames and menus that break the immersion but give the user more control over their experience. While on most websites you want your visitors to travel and view different pages, the goal of a landing page is to keep them right where they are. So there are no menus, no ads, no links - there is only text and images. The only link that can remove someone from your landing page is the "Buy Now" button. You can of course leave the site by clicking back or closing the tab, but even that often results in a pop-up asking if you really want to leave!

Slim and slim design

Another common trope for the design of landing pages is include, thin and slim. The idea is that visitors will be delighted with your text as soon as they land on your page and have to gradually scroll through the site from here. The reason for this type of design is that it is most effective at immersing your visitors in your text and getting them to buy. they spend more time and effort learning more about your product.

The theory is that they want to click "Buy" at the end because otherwise they feel like they have wasted their time. Even narrow text is extremely legible because it splits and avoids, and our eyes naturally want to jump to the next line at the end of an unfinished sentence.

Finally, the narrow design of a website also means that your audience will increasingly move away from the top of the page, making it difficult to exit on mobile devices depending on the browser they are using.

Color scheme

Colors can make a difference. Usually, the color scheme of a landing page is mostly red or orange. The reason for this is that this color has been shown to make us more impulsive. Red has been shown to make people more impulsive and increase their heart rate; As a result, your audience will be much more inclined to click buy and keep reading the site. On the other hand, blue can symbolize trust and honesty.

Placement

Where should you place your "Buy Now" button? Do you think it doesn't matter The rule is pretty strict: the Buy Now button should not only be intertwined across the site, but also at the very bottom and all the way to the right. This is called the "end point" because it is the last point your eyes reach while reading the page. It is important to place your button this way as it means that after reading all of your sell patterns, it will land right on the buy button instead of having to track it or read it backwards. If you look at online landing pages you should find plenty of examples and if you mimic that style you are good to go.

Creating a Landing Page

The most important part of a landing page is actually the text, but we won't get into that here because good writing is a common skill that applies to different aspects of your partner. Marketing strategy. We'll get to that later ...

For now, let's focus on how to create the landing page that you want to sell from. The good news is that by their nature, landing pages are easy to create. There are no fancy menus, animations or layouts, just a long, narrow tower of text and images.

The fastest and easiest way to create a landing page is to use a landing page builder like LeadPages or ClickFunnels.

With LeadPages or Clickfunnels you can create a landing page in no time at all. Everything is drag-and-drop functionality and no coding is required. If you have a WordPress site, you can do it easily via a number of plugins specially designed for digital marketers.

Split Testing

The idea of a landing page is that everything is set up so that you get the most sales possible. That means everything from the text, the layout, the graphics to the price. You're unlikely to get it right first. Unless you are a very experienced internet marketer, you may need to improve your skills a little.

Fortunately, there is a perfect way to do this and that is with a process called "split testing". Here you publish two slightly different versions of the same website with just a little tweak. From there, you can see which is doing the best and which is generating the most sales. After you've received enough traffic to get a reasonably safe conclusion, either stick with or abandon this sales-based shift. This is effectively a natural choice and will allow you to develop your website to the point where it is 100% optimized to sell your product to your audience.

The types of changes and adjustments you can experiment with vary, but include changes to text, headings, color schemes, and more. You can automate this with various WordPress plugins, one of the best is Optimizely and Visual Website Optimizer.
